【Back in Stock】"Our 13th release marks a real return to Oil Gang roots. 2010 marked our first release, the dancehall-flecked Spooky EP, "Murderer". Spooky has remained a close ally of the label over the years- we released another EP with him after that - 2013's Coolie Joyride- put out some remixes of it on a white label, and played nights with him all over London. We've saw him navigating the globe, 1Xtra residencies, US tours, Asia tours. It's 2016 now though, and that deserves another Spooky record on Oil Gang. Or two.

Fiesta opens this double A sided 10" release - the raucous carnival side to Spooky's sound. Bashment air-horns, loads of sub, syncopated soca pressure. The B side takes a more languid approach- lilting reggae guitars and horns, Spooky's signature ‘Heys’. The EP encapsulates Spooky's soundsystem approach and heritage in one 10" release - There's been a real history of these Jamaican leaning Spooky tunes on Oil Gang over the years and long may they continue!.
